The base quota of СЕМТ licenses for Bulgarian haulers with cargo vehicles with Euro 5 and Euro 6 emissions standard must increase with 25%, Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Rosen Zhelyazkov said at the International Transport Forum in Leipzig, Germany. Taking into consideration the consequences for Europe from Brexit and the possible consequences of the Mobility 1 Package, as well as the fact that some countries are looking for new markets, we believe that increasing the quotas is a practical instrument that provides new opportunities to the international road haulage market, Minister Zhelyazkov pointed out. Rosen Zhelyazkov said that Bulgaria supports the abolishment of all types of territorial and administrative restrictions on the use of CEMT permits.
