I see a new generation growing up in Bulgaria that looks a lot like their coevals in the Netherlands. I call it the Erasmus generation- young people who can travel, know the world, speak foreign languages, studied abroad. It fills me with hope about the future. This is what the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bulgaria Bea ten Tusscher said in an interview for Dnevnik.
There is no dialogue between the two parties, Ambassador Tusscher said on occasion of the latest protests in Bulgaria. “Sitting and blocking roads does nothing. It is good to talk, like Dutch people do”, Ambassador Tusscher went on to say and added: “I have not spoken with the protesting young people in Bulgaria, but I am sure they want justice. They want to live in a country where people can make career with their talent. A European country should be able to offer this to its citizens”, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bulgaria Bea ten Tusscher said further.
