An online exhibition presents little-known documents about the life and work of Bulgaria’s revolutionary Georgi Rakovski on occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth.
The Regional Administration Ruse clarifies that the exhibition shown on its website includes eight documents and a painting, which is part of the archives of Ruse Regional Historical Museum and the State Archive in Ruse.
The exhibition features three letters of revolutionary Georgi Rakovski. In one of his letters, Rakovski calls on Bulgarians to stay united in their opposition to the Patriarchate of Constantinople. The sword of the revolutionary, discovered in the village of Novo Selo in 1955, is also part of the exhibition. It is kept at the Ruse Regional Historical Museum.
