About 580 people have been arrested as a result of the specialized police operation dubbed "White" against the distribution and production of drugs, which began on December 7 of this year, reported the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Petar Todorov.

To date, 470 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.

For his part, the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev stated that the police action continues and the first data of serious success are already available. According to him, after the discovery of an organized criminal group, more than 200,000 doses of marijuana were seized.

As part of the specialized operation, today the police broke up a drug greenhouse with over a thousand hemp plants in a house in the Evksinograd area near Varna. Eight rooms were equipped with high-tech equipment for growing plants.
