For more than 30 years, Ostava band has been making authentic music with lyrics that have been embraced by several generations. The band is to go on two music tours this summer- on Bulgarian stages and abroad. Their tour begins on June 9, 10 and 11 in Berlin, Vienna and Munich respectively.
"The last time we played in Germany was several years before the coronavirus pandemic and we are very excited", the band‘s lead vocalist Svilen Noev said. - "It's great to perform in those cities. We have a lot of friends there. Many young Bulgarians study in Germany and Austria and I'm glad that we are going to sing our depressing love songs again", Svilen said with a sense of humour.
In Svilen Noev’s words, young people aged 20-25 prefer the songs from their last two albums "Ocean" and "Oxygen", such as the song "Vzlom" and the latest single "Cliche". "Of course, "Chocolate" is the biggest hit – we perform it in the middle of the concert when everyone starts singing and kissing each other - it kind of creates a feeling of universal love", Svilen went on to say and added:
"However, some older songs like 'Would You Come With Me', 'Little Man' and 'Sunflower Fields' are mega hits. We shouldn't forget the old songs which are very melodic. Back then, Zhoro and I were still learning to compose. The late 1990s was a post-grunge, post-Britpop period, a time when we listened to American and English music and we just wanted to make songs as good as the people we loved. In the new songs, we're still following the global trends in terms of sound, effects, etc. We're trying to compete with the world’s biggest bands in terms of sound and emotion. I want to write a lot more songs - at least 50-60 good songs. I listen to new albums еvery day and get inspired by young people."
