Weather forecast for 11 November

Autumn rains in the Danube Plain, winds in Thrace

Yellow rainfall warnings issued for 12 regions, orange for 5

On Tuesday, minimum temperatures will range from 8 to 13°C, with Sofia seeing around 9°C. Rain is expected across the country, with heavier showers in north-eastern and central Bulgaria. Yellow alerts have been issued for twelve regions and orange alerts for five.


After midday, the rain in the western regions will ease and the cloud cover will decrease. Moderate winds will blow across the country, accompanied by temporarily strong winds from the west-northwest in the Danube and Upper Thracian plains. Relatively cool air will move in. Maximum temperatures will be 10-15°C, reaching around 11°C in the capital.


Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy and rainy. Maximum air temperatures will range from 15 to 17°C. Sea water temperatures will be 16–17 °C. Sea waves will reach 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.


Cloudy skies and rain are expected in the mountains. Above 1,800 m, there will be snow. Precipitation will be heavier and more persistent in the central and eastern parts of the Stara Planina mountain range. There will be strong winds from the north-northwest, reaching storm force on the highest peaks. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around 10 °C, while at 2,000 metres it will be around 4 °C.


On Wednesday, the likelihood of precipitation will decrease. It will be mostly sunny in western Bulgaria, while there will be patchy cloud cover in the east. The northwesterly wind will weaken. Minimum temperatures will drop, while daytime temperatures will be slightly higher.
