Bulgarian artist and architect Vivia Niki presented her new land art creation—a giant three-dimensional candle painted on a meadow in the forests of the Plana Mountain, which seems to flicker like a living flame only when viewed from the air at a certain angle. The work is made entirely from natural materials: autumn leaves, grass and humus.

The new art installation is part of the young artist’s series, turning Bulgarian nature into unique large-scale art. Just two years ago, Vivia Niki presented a land art piece dedicated to love.
The new project is unique for Bulgaria in terms of its scale and carries a strong spiritual message about the light that comes from within and that we must protect.
