Temelko Temelkov is a man who has always striven to do what he likes. Photography is his hobby that turned into profession when he saw he had future as an artist. He has proved his professionalism over the years, linking his name with fashion, advertising, music videos, and movies. His first solo exhibition is entitled Evening Screening. Although he calls himself a commercial photographer, he seeks inspiration in people and their natural beauty. Captured moments take us into a world that is real and yet deceptive. The major thing is the emotion that takes hold of us when looking into the photos. Temelko Temelkov is a fan of older photographic art and the times when black and white photography meant style, vision and energy. Everything around us is in color and only photography can afford to be preserved in its original form - black and white. Thus one focuses on an object without being distracted by color. For Temelko Temelkov black and white photography is a matter of personal choice. Therefore, in "Evening Screening” almost all photos, with few exceptions, are black and white. The images show mostly strangers who "did not mind to be photographed." The photos show us the atmosphere of clubs and bars where people have fun and lose the masks they used to wear, just to put on other ones.

In an interview with Sibila Lilova the master of the lens tells us about motivation, inspirations, and the joy photography provides.

“For years, I have been discussing with the coordinators of Photosynthesis the idea to organize a solo exhibition in their gallery. This is my first exhibition as I did not think I had much to show. I mean the fact that my work for magazines and advertisement agencies is visible enough. Most of my colleagues feel a strong desire to share their own experiences with people, but I 'm not like that. So Photosynthesis actually was the driving force behind organizing the exhibition. This is the first time I have realized I have some interesting material I can show people. I am a commercial photographer, shooting not only for pleasure. But when you dive too much into commerce, you start missing the main reason why you started with photography. This is the creative aspect of it. I continue to develop as a photographer and do things that amuse me. I think that's why my show is unpretentious. I love to take pictures of people; I like to communicate with them. In the beginning, when I started working as a photographer, fashion and advertising photography was a fledgling. So I turned my interest and lens towards people. "
