Kiril Marichkov, Ivan Lechev, Doni, Slavcho Nikolov and Venko Poromanski are well known musicians in Bulgaria. The career of each of them is associated with a different band - Kiril Marichkov is the emblem of "Shturcite"; Ivan Lechev is part of "FSB" and Doni – of pop duo "Doni and Momchil" Slavcho is guitarist of BTR, and Venko is the former drummer of the Te band. What unites them is their love of Bulgarian rock music. Creating the Foundation they made an idea turn into reality - to preserve the most loved songs of their bands and to offer them in new arrangements to the fans. Let us recall that the first concert of the "Foundation" took place in the spring of 2013 in a club and the guests were a circle of friends. After that the band had its first US tour. A year later a second tour to North America took place.

"We had eighteen concerts in North America - five in Canada and thirteen in the US," Slavcho Nikolov told Radio Bulgaria. "The tour was a very emotional experience for us and for the audience, which was mainly Bulgarian. In Calgary, Boston, New York and Washington people who had not heard of the Foundation came to the concerts. We received a great compliment from some of them. They told us that they liked our concert more than a concert of Eric Clapton. A great number of Bulgarians know emblematic songs like Kletva, Spasenie, etc. Several generations have grown up with these songs and we knew what to expect. That is why the comparison to a great musician was very precious to us. After the concert in Vancouver we went to the USA - Seattle, San Francisco ... From there we took a big bus, and went to Boston. We traveled some 22,000 km. by plane and about 12000 kilometers by bus. Our schedule was pretty busy but we did it so in order to see the most of the United States. We had concerts in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, Tampa, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, Washington, New York and Boston. The tour was organized by our manager for America, Orlin Mirchev and local supporters. We mostly played in concert halls, but we had club nights too. The tour brought us strong emotions.”

"For our concert on November 10 in the Armeec Hall in Sofia we have prepared a special surprise for our fans,” Slavcho says. “In the middle of the concert me and Ivan Lechev will be playing electric guitars and a heavier versions of a few emblematic songs will be performed. One of the most emotional moments will be the first performance of Shturcite after the death of Petar Gyuzelev. Thanks to new technologies the guitarist who is no longer with us, will be virtually present on stage with his performance."

This concert will be the last one of the Foundation for 2014. It is quite logical to ask what fans of the band could expect next. Slavcho Nikolov says the band is facing a choice - whether to continue to invite guest musicians from other bands, and thus enrich the repertoire of the Foundation or to indulge in writing original music. This is yet to be seen. . .
