The Tochka BG band includes Zornitsa Popova (vocals), Todor Yankulov (guitar, vocals), Krasimir Parvanov, (guitar vocals) and Plamen Sivov (guitar, vocals). What unites them is their love for poetry, presented with acoustic guitar accompaniment. This happened four years ago for the first time. Plamen Sivov told us more:

"The image of people who present their poetry to the accompaniment of guitar is known worldwide. In Bulgaria during the times of socialism, this art was presented in a very distorted way. At that time there were special festivals for political songs and the genre was highly politicized. After the onset of democracy in this country, time was needed to change things. We have known each other for fifteen years. We met during one of the “Poets with Guitars” festivals. That is how it all started. Relying entirely on acoustic sound, we follow global trends i.e. all the greatest musicians prefer to play acoustic sounds, not electronic. And we have been developing in this direction since the very beginning."

For its relatively short existence Tochka BG has several projects released on CDs.

"Both albums PredVerie and Aquarelle are very different from each other,” says Plamen. “In the first album we invited guest musicians, so there are violins and percussion in it. Arrangements are the work of Minko Lambov. In Aquarelle it is just us and the guitars. There is also a cello in some places. We are currently working on a new project that is called "August" and will be released in the spring. Some famous names from the Bulgarian music scene also perform in it including Venko Poromanski /percussions/ from the Foundation. Of course, this album will be acoustic."

Plamen Sivov told us more about the performances of Tochka.BG:

"When we met, we had experience from festivals that attract specific type of audience, while performing in clubs is different. When we created Tochka.BG we had to decide whether to develop on the theater or club scene. This is a very important decision because the audience is radically different. We chose the club scene as the challenge is much greater. We were interested to see if people would like this type of performance. For a third year our concerts in Studio 5 have been very successful. We are also looking for a larger stage. On February 18 we are to have a concert that we hope would please our fans. Violinist Tsvetina Panayotova will perform with us on stage. We are very happy that she shares our emotions. "

Tochka BG often have concerts in Bulgaria and abroad.

"We have a program that is very well accepted. At the invitation of the Bulgarian communities in various European countries, we sing and play in front of compatriots. We have already had concerts in Vienna, Bratislava and London. We are also to have a concert in Berlin. The shows are always very exciting for us and our audience. Since the lyrics are the most important people who love to listen to good poetry presented in a pleasant way react very emotionally. This gives us great joy. There are a number of countries that we are about to visit in order to make more Bulgarians happy. "
