The European Commission has warned Bulgaria that it could face a penalty procedure for violation of European rules on providing conditions for accommodation of refugees in this country. The Commission wants the Bulgarian government to give its opinion on the matter in the next two months. If the response was unsatisfactory, the Commission could ask the EU Court of Justice to start legal proceedings against Bulgaria.
