Intense snowfalls cause problems on Bulgarian roads

Snowfalls across the country have caused hardships for drivers in Bulgaria. Police authorities reported about difficult conditions on the Trakia and Hemus highways and the roads in the southwestern regions of the country. Traffic through border checkpoints of the country has also been intense. Minister of Regional Development Liliana Pavlova said more than 1000 snow plow trucks were operating on Bulgarian roads. The Sofia Airport has been operating normally so far.
