Sofia wants EU-Turkey deal to apply to all external borders

Hours before yet another EU -Turkey meeting in Brussels, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said that the Bulgarian delegation would insist that the planned deal between the European Council and Turkey should apply to all external borders of the EU - both sea and land ones. This means that in Brussels, PM Borissov would call for migrants and refugees not only from Greece but also from Bulgaria to be returned to the territory of Turkey. The Turkish side must also assist in stopping the creation of alternative routes for immigrants, the Bulgarian Foreign Minister pointed out.
