The money necessary for the construction of the gas interconnection between Bulgaria and Greece are estimated at EUR 220 million, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova announced. The Energy Ministry aims at fulfilling the gas interconnection project within the frameworks of the planned road map, Minister Petkova added. The contractor under that project would be chosen in full transparence and with conformity with the Public Procurement Act, Temenuzhka Petkova further pointed out. According to initial plans, the interconnector should start functioning by mid 2018.
