President Plevneliev calls on National Assembly to support projects for modernization of Bulgaria’s Armed Forces

Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev, who attended on Tuesday the final phase of the Strike Back 16 tactical military training on Novo Selo training ground, called on the National Assembly to support all nine high-priority projects for modernization of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, including the purchase of a new multi-functional fighter jet, new infantry weapons and equipment, 3D radars, patrol ships, modernization of the existing frigates and improvement of the strategic military intelligence. The projects were included in the Programme for the Development of the Defense Capabilities of the Bulgarian Armed Forces 2020.
