President Plevneliev gives state awards to Bulgarian artists and cultural figures

During an official ceremony, Bulgarian President Rossen Plevneliev gave high state awards to cultural figures and thanked all people devoted to the cause of educating future generations in pursuing enlightenment, human development and spirituality. Sculptor prof. Krum Damyanov received the Order of Stara Planina - first degree. His works are on display in galleries in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Norway, USA, France, The Netherlands, and South Korea. Among those who received the order of Saints Cyril and Methodius were director and screenwriter Iglika Trifonova and writers Deyan Enev and Georgi Gospodinov - some of the biggest names in contemporary Bulgarian literature.
