1,000 nurses leave Bulgaria each year, the Chairperson of the Bulgarian Association of Health Professionals in Nursing Milka Vasileva announced. The attitude towards the labor and the personality of the Bulgarian professionals in nursing are unworthy and the wages are extremely low. According to the Healthcare Map, Bulgaria’s healthcare system needs at least 10,800 more nurses, in order to function normally, because currently there is high tension in that system, Milka Vasileva pointed out. In September 2016 Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health is to present a new calculation of the labor in the healthcare system.
