According to the National Statistical Institute, the publication of books and brochures saw a 24% increase in 2015, Sega daily informs on its first pages on Tuesday. 8,221 books with a total circulation of 3,900,628 and 1,099 brochures with a circulation of 1,003,029 were published in Bulgaria 2015. A total of 7,677 books were registered with the unique international number ISBN in 2015. Over 73%  of the books were published in their authors’ language.

Small and medium-sized companies will be able to receive financing for the purchase of management software, Capital daily informs. Each company can receive gratuitous financing up to EUR 200,000. The total amount under that programme is to the tune of EUR 30 million. Micro, small and medium-sized companies with at least three financial years behind their back can apply for financing under the Development of Managerial Capacity procedure.

Three Turkish companies are to invest EUR 100 million in Bulgaria, the Chairman of the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fikret Ince said in an interview for Standard daily. One of the companies operates in the metallurgy sector, the second one will manufacture transofrmers in Bulgaria and the third firm operates in the field of ceramic inductry. The Turkish companies are expected to open over 1,000 new jobs in Northeastern Bulgaria.

The city of Stara Zagora (Central South Bulgaria) will host in 2017 the traditional regional gala evening of the Association of Balkan Athletic Federations. The best athletes in the Balkans receive awards during the official ceremony. The event will be held in Stara Zagora for the first time. In 2018 that city is to host the biggest athletic forum in the region-The Balkan Athletics Championships.

Nearly 200,000 tourists visited the archeological complex Perperikon in 2015, Novinar daily informs. The tourist site generated profits to the tune of nearly EUR 100,000 last year. The first two books dedicated to the researches in Perperikon are about to be published. So far over 17,000 ancient coins and nearly 100 lead seals dating back to the Byzantine period have been discovered in Perperikon.
