More than half of the holidaymakers are aged over 65 and only 2 percent are under 35. A total of 170 ships run by 15 companies are operating along the Danube – by way of comparison their number at the turn of this century stood at 100. There are six ships sailing under a Bulgarian flag and they are owned by the company from Rousse Dounav Tours (Danube tours)
