The municipality of Karnobat (Eastern Bulgaria) has become the third Bulgarian municipality that opposes the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the EU, US and Canada. After the Bulgarian municipalities of Lovech and Gorna Malina supported the Barcelona Declaration of April 22, calling against the TTIP,  the Municipal Council in Karnobat announced plans to join the document. It has already been supported by 2,000 communities across Europe, Mayor of Karnobat Georgi Dimitrov told the Bulgarian National Radio. "Leaked information shows that the provisions under the TTIP are not in the interest of European citizens," he added.
