Bulgaria may join the Eurozone not earlier than two or three years from now, Deputy Prime Minister responsible for EU funds and economic policy, Tomislav Donchev, said. This is the shortest possible time as this country should wait for others before it. Entry into the monetary union is a matter of political decisions, the Deputy Prime Minister added. As a member of the EU we are committed to introducing the single currency, as the pros and cons are well known. Our priority is to become part of the club of the most integrated states in Europe, Minister Donchev announced. Speaking about possible rise of prices after joining the Eurozone, he said that there were no signs showing the adoption of the single currency would lead to price rises. On the contrary, better atmosphere for investors would benefit the economy, he said.
