Bulgaria and Iran to cooperate in agriculture

Bulgaria is to start exports of honey to Iran, it has been reported. Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva has submitted a letter to Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Hojjati, launching the procedure. Taneva met Hojjati during an official government visit to Tehran. Taneva has also requested assistance from her counterpart for quick finalization of already started procedures for export of Bulgarian poultry and dairy products to Iran. Tobacco and tobacco products are among the products that are well known and have the largest share in trade relations between the two countries. "It is now time for both countries to deepen cooperation in agriculture," Mahmoud Hojjati said. According to him, increasing cooperation between Bulgaria and Iran in trade, the veterinary sphere, seed production and others, was of big importance.
