NATO develops options for presence in Southeast Europe

NATO’s military body is to develop options for presence in the South-east, including the Black Sea, before the forthcoming meeting of the Ministers of Defense in October, Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov pointed out during a public discussion about the results of the NATO summit in Warsaw. Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov said that in the field of maritime security Bulgaria was supporting enhanced NATO presence in the Black Sea region, in order to boost operative compatibility and collaboration of its forces through more intensive military trainings.
