An EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, at which Bulgaria was represented by Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov categorically condemned the attempted coup in Turkey, but urged Ankara to show restraint and to respect human rights.
The EU calls for the full observance of Turkey's constitutional order and stresses the importance of the rule of law prevailing.
