At the beginning of his US visit, Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov discussed, with US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz, the construction of gas interconnectors between Bulgaria and its neighbours, with a focus on the interconnector with Greece, as well as Bulgaria’s plans to take part in the construction of a LNG terminal near Alexandroupolis. Minister Mitov expounded on the government’s measures aimed at the liberalization of the energy market and the plans to build a gas hub in Bulgaria.
