Number of tourists visiting Bulgaria to see 10% increase in 2016: Minister Angelkova

The number of tourists visiting Bulgaria’s resorts during this year’s summer season will see a 10% increase, Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova announced. According to preliminary estimates, nearly 4.6 million foreign tourists will visit Bulgaria in the summer of 2016. Last year their number amounted to 4.2 million. The number of Russian tourists visiting Bulgaria has increased with 20% to 30%. The number of German and French tourists visiting that country increased with 20% and the number of British tourists visiting Bulgaria saw a 10% increase, Minister Angelkova further announced, adding that the new concession contracts which are due to be signed by end 2016 will be under new terms and conditions.
