Today, I am very happy to inform you that the Bulgarian Armed Forces have as many fighter jets as necessary, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev said at a ceremony, where he awarded the teams of the helicopters that have been extinguishing fires in different Bulgarian regions in the past few days. Minister Nenchev pointed out that in November Bulgaria is to receive the last two repaired engines of the MIG-29 fighter jets and that ten other engines will be delivered to that country by end 2016. Thus, Bulgaria will be able to guard its airspace on its own, Minister Nenchev further said.
