Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova and Greek counterpart Nikolaos Kotzias have discussed migration processes and security issues during a working meeting in Sofia. The two ministers discussed the establishment of joint patrols to counter illegal migration, smuggling and crime in the Bulgarian-Greek border areas. Minister Bachvarova pointed out the Bulgarian position that EU - level negotiations should start immediately over the necessary measures that must be taken in order for the migration agreement between the EU and Turkey to become effective.
