Deputy Interior Minister Philip Gounev has announced that the government asked the European Commission for additional financial assistance of some 5 million euro, in order to be able to move at least one of the refugee centers out of the capital city of Sofia to a more acceptable place. The decision was taken as a result of social tension that has been rising near refugee centers in the capital city in recent weeks and months.
