Counterfeit commodities confiscated by Bulgarian customs double

The number of counterfeit commodities intercepted by customs is up by more than 100 percent in 2015, according to a European Commission report.
Around 600,000 articles were confiscated in Bulgaria in 2014, whereas in 2015 their number reached 1,200,000. Overall, the customs authorities in the 28 EU member countries have intercepted around 5 million counterfeit commodities more than the previous year. Cigarettes still account for the biggest share of commodities seized with China still the main country of origin.
