The Bulgarian state will continue to provide support to Bulgarian schools abroad, Minister of Education Meglena Kuneva has said. She has met with the managements of the Bulgarian School "Patriarch Cyrill" in Tel Aviv and the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre in Israel.

According to Minister Kuneva, the planned Directorate for Bulgarians Abroad at the Ministry of Education would be working for attracting young Bulgarians living abroad who want to study in Bulgaria. In 2016, nearly 10,000 young Bulgarians left the local educational system because of emigration.
