The first public hearing of Bulgaria’s new nominee for UN Secretary General Kristalina Georgieva will be held on Monday at the UN General Assembly. A total of ten nominees are running for the UN top job. Former Portuguese Premier Antonio Guterres took the lead during the first five preliminary voting rounds. The President of the UN General Assembly session Peter Thomson has assured that although Kristalina Georgieva joined the competition at a later stage, she would be treated equally with the other nine nominees.
