On the front pages of Bulgarian press on Wednesday one can find information about the turbulent events that followed the second round of presidential elections and the resignation of the government. Quoting senior party sources, "24 Hours" claims that early parliamentary elections will take place on April 2 or April 9 next year. "Capital Daily" points out that the Constitutional Court should make it clear whether elections should be scheduled by the current or the newly elected president. The conditions under which they will be held are also unknown, given the inevitable introduction of fully or partially majoritarian electoral system that is coming. "Sega" focuses on news that BSP leader Kornelia Ninova has already begun talks with political forces over achieving consensus on changes to election rules. "Dnevnik" pays attention to the statement of the rightist Reformist Bloc that they will not discuss or negotiate with the Socialists.

Sega includes an article about the GERB party changing its position on the budget over the course of a few hours, as soon after announcing that the draft will be withdrawn from parliament, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov refuted this.

Referring to information from the Bulgarian National Radio, "Dnevnik" has reported that European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has called on newly elected Bulgarian President Rumen Radev to commit to ensuring political stability necessary to achieve ongoing economic and structural reforms, as well as implementation of common European agenda. Bulgaria has a central role in decision-making in the EU and therefore must be politically stable, Juncker pointed out in a letter to the newly elected Bulgarian head of state.

Bulgaria ranks ninth in the European Union (EU) when the number of deportation orders for citizens of third countries in 2015 is concerned, "Capital" writes, referring to Eurostat data. The newspaper pays attention to the fact that the UK ranks third in the chart. There the free movement of people according to EU rules was one of the main reasons citizens voted in favor of Brexit. The total number of deportation orders issued in the EU last year has grown by 13.5 percent.
