Bulgaria’s SANS, Prosecutor’s Office break up migrant smuggling ring

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior announced that a criminal ring which smuggled migrants from Bulgaria through Serbia to Western Europe was broken up in a joint operation of the State Agency for National Security and the Prosecutor’s Office. A Bulgarian national who participated at the trafficking of 82 citizens from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh was detained. 78 of the migrants were accommodated at refugee centers in Bulgaria after they entered illegally that country from Turkey.
