The Bulgarian Socialist Party called on outgoing Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to appear in parliament in connection with the riot at the refugee centre in Harmanli.

The opposition is demanding that the government put in place security measures that will ensure peace and calm. Earlier the prime minister told newsmen that the riot may well have been organized beforehand and called on Bulgarians not to instill hatred via social media. The riot broke out after the migrant camp was quarantined because of dozens of cases of infectious skin disease.
