Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov has announced that Bulgaria called on the European Commission to start working on a plan "B" in case Turkey fulfilled its threat to open its borders and let migrants rush to Europe. "We hope that this will not happen, but our policy cannot be based on hopes. At a national level, Bulgaria must take all possible measures to limit migration flows," the minister added. Daniel Mitov, who took part in a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, said the alliance was monitoring the migration situation in the Black Sea and there was no evidence of tension there. He pointed out that in case of risks, NATO and the EU must be ready to respond.
