Irina Bokova enters chart of people shaping Europe

Bulgarian Irina Bokova, who is Director General of UNESCO and was a candidate for the position of UN Secretary General, has been identified as one of the 28 people who will be shaping, shaking and stirring Europe in 2017 The ranking of "Politico 28" is topped by mayor of London Sadiq Khan, and include among others High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurtz. Billionaire George Soros is also among the top ten in the list. The media presents Bokova as a person leading a crusade for the preservation of world's cultural heritage from militant extremism and terrorism.
