10 million euro has been received from Brussels for repairing the damage to the infrastructure in Hitrino village after the explosion of derailed freight train tanks on 10 December. The quickest way to absorb the money would be targeted projects under the Rural Development operational programme.
Anton Asparuhov from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food stated that Hitrino Mayor Nuridin Ismail had declared the administration’s readiness to start the submission of projects on 16 January, 2017. The money can be used for roads, streets, municipal buildings, water pipes and sewerage, as well as the reconstruction of schools, kindergartens.
