BRC starts distributing food to most deprived under European programme

The Bulgarian Red Cross started the annual distribution of individual food packages to nearly 300,000 Bulgarians. The help is part of the Basic Material Assistance Operational Programme of the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived. Apart from those who received assistance in the last heating season, mothers (including adoptive mothers), people who received one-time aid for first grade pupils and for raising children from foster families, as well as people who were affected by calamities and by industrial accidents, are also eligible to receive food assistance.
