The movie "Blind Vaysha" by Teodor Ushev has received a nomination for "Oscar" for best short animated film. The 8-minute-long film is based on a story by writer Georgi Gospodinov. It is difficult to make films based on great literary works. I had to forget about text and imagine it as drawings, Teodor Ushev says. He has been living and working in Montreal, Canada, from 1999. Whether his film will win an "Oscar" will become clear on February 26, when the award ceremony takes place.
