Bulgarian biathlon competitors have achieved great success at the European Championships in the Polish winter center of Duszniki Zdroj. Vladimir Iliev won the gold in the 10-km sprint event with a single error during shooting, while Krasimir Anev remained with the bronze medal, as his shooting was immaculate. The silver medal remained in the hands of Russian Alexander Loginov. Vladimir Iliev’s gold medal is the first one for Bulgaria from such a prestigious forum in men’s biathlon.
