The European Commission is ready to provide expert analysis to Bulgaria about the need of another nuclear power plant, EC Vice-President for Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič told the Bulgarian National Radio. Each EU member state has to make an independent decision whether to spend so much money from the state budget for such project. However, we can provide a fair and unbiased opinion on what is better for a given country, a region and the whole EU. Our experts and the experts of the European Environment Agency can explain the needs of the energy sector and how that sector can be modernized, Maroš Šefčovič further said.
