In 2016 Bulgaria’s exports to non-EU countries decreased with 5.9% as compared to 2015 and amounted to nearly EUR 7.5 billion, the National Statistical Institute informs. Turkey, China, Macedonia, Serbia, the Russian Federation and the USA are Bulgaria’s biggest non-EU trade partners. 49% of Bulgaria’s export to non-EU countries was directed to those countries. In 2016 imports from non-EU countries decreased with 7.1% year on year to nearly EUR 8.6 billion (CIF). The Russian Federation, Turkey, China and Ukraine were the biggest exporters to Bulgaria.
