Number of people wishing to vote in general elections up slightly

Compared to January, there is a slight increase in the number of voters wishing to take part in the early general election on 26 March, a survey conducted by Alpha Research social research agency shows.

66 percent of the respondents say they will go to the polls, 11.2 percent are adamant they will not exercise their right to vote and close to 22 percent are hesitant. Theforecast  that five parties are certain to enter the new parliament is confirmed. GERB is in the lead with 31.5 percent, followed by the Bulgarian Socialist Party with 29.6, the United Patriots coalition with 10.8, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) with 6.8 and Volya (will) – with 5.7 percent. The Reformist Bloc comes close to the 4 percent threshold for entering parliament.
