“There are 20 vocational schools in Bulgaria at the moment where dual education is applied, how many more will join in depends on the applications. In 2017 we shall announce a call for proposals under the OP Science and Education which includes a project specifically for dual education,” caretaker Education and Science Minister Nikolai Denkov said at the opening of a forum on dual education called “Next steps in the introduction of dual education – new professions and tutor training”.

The evaluation of dual education where it exists is that wherever companies, schools and municipal authorities maintain close contact with one another, things are going well, Minister Denkov added.
