Annual inflation in Bulgaria amounts to 2.6%

The Consumer Price Index in April 2017 was at 100.7% as compared to March 2017, i.e. monthly inflation was at 0.7%, the National Statistical Institute announced. Since the beginning of 2017 inflation amounted to 1.5% and inflation in April this year as compared to the same month last year was at 2.6%, NSI further informs. Food prices in April went up by 0.9% as compared to March 2017. The price of clothing and shoes increased with 5.2% for the period. The price of alcoholic beverages and tobacco remained unchanged.
