At a Romanian-Bulgarian business forum, attended by representatives of more than 100 companies from both countries, the presidents of Bulgaria and Romania Rumen Radev and Klaus Iohannis confirmed the readiness of the institutions in both countries to work for better connectivity between Bulgaria and Romania.
Presenting the opportunities for investment in Bulgaria, President Radev pointed out that in the past year the country had a GDP growth of 3.4%, which is above the EU average, low inflation and a relatively low unemployment rate of about 7%. The head of state pointed out, on the other hand, that Bulgaria had a significant economic presence in Romania, and proof was the hundreds of Bulgarian companies that invest and do business in the neighboring country.
President Klaus Iohannis, on his part, pointed out that just in the past three years bilateral trade has grown by 7%, and this showed the great potential of the two countries.
