The implementation of a plan that envisages paying of the debts of the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) by the end of 2018 continue. This is what Bulgarian Minister of Transport Ivaylo Moskovski said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio.
The minister added that he expected an agreement for state aid to BDZ to be reached in the coming weeks. The aid would be in the form of an interest-free loan from the budget.
This plan would allow the railways to start a procedure for buying new trains this autumn, Minister Moskovski also said.
