Preliminary data indicate foreign investments have dropped four times

According to Bulgarian National Bank preliminary data, quoted by Capital Daily, the aggregate amount of foreign investments in Bulgaria over the January-May period amount to no more than 119.8 million euro or four times less than a year ago when they stood at 526 million.

Over the first five months of the year the biggest investor in Bulgaria’s economy was Holland, which has a more liberal tax regime. However, it is Bulgarian capital or capital coming from non-EU countries that makes up many of the investments coming from that country.
