Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva met in Belgrade with Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić. President Vučić thanked Ekaterina Zaharieva for Bulgaria’s support for Serbia’s EU accession bid. Minister Zaharieva assured Serbia’s head of state that Bulgaria was ready to provide expert assistance during Serbia’s negotiations with the EU. Minister Zaharieva held three meetings with President Vučić in 45 days since Aleksandar Vučić assumed office. This is a clear sign that Bulgaria attaches big importance to the enlargement of the European Union towards the Balkans, Minister Zaharieva said. On Tuesday Ekaterina Zaharieva is to meet with Serbia’s Premier Ana Brnabic.
